Private Companies after the Companies Act 2006
Training Provider:
The Law Society
The Companies Act 2006 was implemented in stages between 2006 and 2009. As a result there has been a series of statutory instruments under the Act, including Commencement Orders 1 to 8 and several Consequential Amendment Orders.
Company advisors need a working knowledge not only of the Act's provisions but also of changes made by these statutory instruments. In particular, Table A has been replaced by three new sets of model articles which represent updating and improvement. Although existing companies formed under the 1985 Companies Act are not obliged to update their articles, where these are now wrong in law, misleading or superfluous it is advisable that they do so.
This new interactive course brings the practitioner right up to date with the law on the management and administration of private companies.
